Just visited the Menekaunee website after I received an invitation to the
annual picnic. Your pictures brought back some great memories of my youth
growing up in Menekaunee on Green Court. The old house no longer stands
there, many willow scrubs instead occupy the property, about 1 block from the
bay. Seldom do I ever revisit that area but I do get back to Marinette to
visit my 2 brothers who still live and work in the area. I do think I
recognize my brother in front in the picture from last years doings. I don't
believe I have any pictures to offer for your site, but I sure hope that
others will have some. Regarding the picnic, I will not be able to make it
this year as I'll be in Marinette July 1 thru July 3. I now live in Palmetto,
Fl., about 40 miles south of Tampa, have for 15 years now and although I love
the climate here and would never move back, I do miss the people. Hope your
picnic is a huge success and keep the pictures posted. Your links to the
other sites are also a plus.
